Welcome to Colorado Advanced Life Support
We are an Authorized Training Center for the American Heart Association providing BLS, ACLS and PALS training for the Colorado/Wyoming region since 1991.

"CPR Saves Life's Heart Disease is the number-one cause of death in the United States.  Each year almost half a million Americans die from heart attacks or related complications.  225,000 of these people will die suddenly (sudden cardiac arrest) with no warning signs.  80% of all cardiac arrests occur at home and are witnessed by family members.  Most family members are not trained in bystander CPR.  It doesn't matter if you're a healthcare professional, mother, father, husband or wife, if CPR is not initiated quickly the victims chances of survival are greatly reduced.  In most cases, by the time EMS arrives on scene, if bystander CPR has not been initiated, the chances of resuscitation are slim.   Anyone who wants to be a more useful member of his or her community should learn CPR.

Colorado Advanced Life Support (CALS) was established in 1986 by four physicians, with a common goal of not only providing, but also ensuring quality Advanced Life Support education to other physicians, nurses and paramedics in the State of Colorado. In 1991 Colorado Advanced Life Support (CALS) incorporated and became the first community-training center approved by the American Heart Association to provide and monitor the quality of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes in Colorado and Wyoming.  For the past 18 years Colorado Advanced Life Support has been a champion and leader in medical education and quality assurance of ACLS and PALS within the States of Colorado and Wyoming.  Currently Colorado Advanced Life Support (CALS) has over 90 agreements with training sites in Colorado and Wyoming and is responsible for the over-site and training of over 10,000 medical practitioners every year.

"Use of American Heart Association materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association.  Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the Association."
